God's Provision

Isaiah 30:21 " Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you saying, 'This is the way; walk in it."

I would like to share a prayer request that was answered and to God be the Glory.  Rose and I had the opportunity to have a couple in our home this past weekend.  We shared and enjoyed our time in the Lord as it related to their lives and ours.  They began to leave and the Lord impressed on their hearts the desire to help meet our needs.  At the same time across town, a woman driving home prayed for a transfer of $1,000.00 into our bank account for HIS purposes.  The woman driving across town prayed believing God could do this.  The couple that was in our home sowed $1,000.00 into our ministry during the same time period that this precious woman was praying.  I love serving God and watching Him use His jars of clay to accomplish HIS will in all of our lives.

I thank God for how He answered this simple prayer request.  I believe so often we lose sight of how much God wants to use each of us.  We need to stop limiting His power in our lives and stop putting Him in our nice gift wrapped boxes of man.  God has a destiny for each of our lives.  Today is the day we need to lay hold of our destiny.

Final Packing Preparations

We are currently packing as we prepare to return to Israel and begin the next year of work for the Lord.  The children are helping with the process.  From a few toys and books here and there, to the essentials we will need to get started, the suitcases are getting packed.Our Spirits resonate inside us as a family as the Lord stirs us to begin the journey back to Israel.  We plan to have 10 "bags" - they could be suitcases, strollers or a pack-n-play, a carload for sure.  If you have an extra suitcase (on wheels and preferably not a hard sided due to weight restrictions) you would be willing to donate we need 2-3 more. 

Excited Children

The children are very excited to be going back to Israel.  It has now become part of their daily vocabulary.  The children's prayers have turned to God providing for the "resources" for our airline tickets.  Josiah and Abigail both are talking about how excited they are to start school when we get to our home in Poriyya, Israel.

Resources are coming in, but we believe God is going to do a miracle to finish providing for our airline tickets.  As we walk by faith and fear the Lord, He will take care of that need.  We know the time is drawing near and we prepare in anticipation, but God's provision will come when He anoints the time.

Continue praying about how you can partner with us.  We believe God will bless you abundantly when you listen to His voice.  We would love to have you be a part of the work that God is doing.  You could be the answer to prayer.

Standing on the Word of God

In today's society where the Bible is thought to have errors and contradictions, we can stand firm knowing that the Inspired Word of God is the "Truth".  In Hebrew the word truth is "Emet." Part of the definition of this word Emet is to, "support or make firm." I believe that the Word of God is firm as we currently know it.  There is no need to intellectualize the Word of God or dilute the nature and being of who He is. Yet the world, and even people in the church today, try to say otherwise. If we entertain that the Word of God is with error, we open ourselves to a form of godliness that denies the very power of who and what defines God. For God said, "The Word became flesh and dwelt among us." For those who choose not to recognize that the Word of God is without error, The Word of Gods says in Hebrews 10:31, "It is a dreadful thing to fall into the hands of the living God." May we embrace the Word as our foundation without reservation in the difficult times we live in.  Paul himself said to endure hardship for there is a crown of righteousness that is laid up for us.

As the Martins sing in their song, "Standing," standing on the promises of the Living Word gives us power, cleansing, freedom, life, strength, comfort, love, hope, healing, mercy, sight, and most important, recognizes Christ our King.

Rose and I value and thank each of you as you partner with us to spread the Gospel (The Good News) throughout the world.  Reaching the world one person at a time.

This past month has been rich with opportunities.   

We had the opportunity to share the vision of our ministry with Rose's family in Indiana during the middle of the month.  It was a time to meet relatives we have not been able to see in several years.  We also met people who have been learning about Israel and God's covenant with them.  We anticipate that some of them will travel to Israel.  

At the end of the month I traveled to California.  While visiting with friends in Los Angeles I experienced what God is doing through Rose and I.  As I sat at an Italian restaurant next to the Pacific Ocean with two people that God had put on my heart and in our lives, I found the Lord speaking to me saying, "Here before you is the beginning of the fruit that I promised would come.   Fruit that will last."  Jesus said to go and make disciples of all nations. As I watched these individuals interact with one another I realized that they represented one of the nations.  They represent the Nation of Germany.  I sat humbled before the Lord to see how His mighty hand can use people if we will only be obedient to the still small voice that speaks today.

We were privileged to marry the first couple that completed the TBGM marriage counseling program. They were married in Chattanooga this Labor Day Weekend.  We pray all the abundant life that God has to offer them as they journey together.

I preached my first message in Franklin, TN at Clovercroft Chapel.  I spoke about the activation of the Word of God in your life through the empowerment of the Holy Spirit.  There was a beautiful time of prayer for those in need.

As we begin to start another new year (in the Jewish Calendar) I am excited see all that God has planned for each of us as we yield to the Lord in our lives.

Touched By Grace Women's Retreat

The women's retreat, which occurred the weekend of Aug. 3-4, was anointed.  God brought together the group of women He wanted there and I believe we all walked away saying, "I will never be the same again."  Eight women attended the 24 hour get away.  One woman was my "right hand helper" and was a true blessing to me. 

Friendships were formed, confessions made, new beginnings in several lives, and just an overall sense of contentment with where God has us in our lives are a few things we walked away with.  Verses scattered throughout the retreat center spoke to our souls and continue to challenge or encourage our hearts.  I am still receiving emails from women who are continuing to "chew" on the Word from the Lord they received. 

 Our times of sharing were filled with building one another up in the Lord.  Laughter and tears, as well as prayer, left us feeling strengthened and refreshed.  We experienced in a new way what it means to be a child of God. 

I can only give God the glory for the way He orchestrated the time together.
