Summer 2008 has been full of exciting ministry to people in need. We are experiencing many new opportunities at Touched by Grace.

We have visited many churches locally, sharing about our desire for people to receive life, and life more abundant through the empowerment of the Holy Spirit.

This month we are preparing for another trip to California as we seek the Lord's hand on the lives of those He is, and will be touching, including my own. I will be sharing from my personal life and the Word how important it is to follow through with commitment once we are ready to allow ourselves to be empowered by the Holy Spirit.

Dwight L. Moody said, "I believe firmly that the moment our hearts are emptied of pride and selfishness and ambition and everything that is contrary to God's law, the Holy Spirit will fill every corner of our hearts."

Rose and I are getting excited about the opportunities that are in front of us this year in Israel. We also have some challenges that are in front of us as well.

There is a song that Barry and Batya Segal sing that has become a theme song for our family as we share the wonderful news of the Messiah. Below are some of the words to the song:

Go through, go through the gates! Prepare the way for the people. Build up, build up the highway! Build up the highway, for the Lord. Go through, go through the gates! Prepare the way for the people.

Say to the daughter of Zion surely your salvation is coming Behold His reward is with Him and His work before Him.

Our family recognizes that by serving God wherever we are in the World, we are building up the Highway for the Lord's Return. For Rose and me there is no greater Joy than seeing people fall deeper in love with Jesus Christ. To watch people of all ages come to a deeper understanding of their purpose in the Kingdom of God is truly enriching.

This summer I have witnessed my own children who are 5, almost 4, 2, and 7 months get excited about Vacation Bible School, and are being taught at home what it means to hide the Word of God in their heart. Josiah, Abigail, and Sarah are all memorizing the Word in ways that help affirm to us we are on the right path. Rose and I will celebrate 14 years of marriage this year on October 7 and it is beautiful to see the culmination of , "As for me and my household we will serve the Lord."

This year, as we prepare to leave for Israel, we will need to take in a considerable amount of financial resources. The monies will be used to purchase a used van, food for the people in Israel, airline tickets for travel, and new housing accomodations that will be more permanent for us. We will be recieving people from around the World.

We are now ranking number 14 in Google for the keyword Christian Israel Tour We have already begun receiving phone inquiries about this opportunity. With a location that will help us minister to these people coming from abroad it will enhance an understanding of their own personal faith and give others the opportunity to share their faith. We will also be housing the food and clothes at this location as we receive them in Israel and then disseminate them to both the Jews and Arabs in the Northern part of Israel.

We be launching the Russian Harvest School of Evangelism this fall to new believers in the Messiah and starting the next language in either Arabic, Amharic, or Hebrew. Both of these projects will require more travel into different regions of Israel.

We are currently in prayer as to the location of where we should be based in Israel. Two geographic points of prayer are the Sea of Galilee region or Nahariyya on the Mediteranean Coast just south of Lebanon about 20 minutes. We know God has the exact location already chosen.

Once your eyes have seen the land that our Lord has walked and you experience the presence of the Lord in the Land of Israel you will be changed forever.

Our current target date for returning to Israel is November 13th, 2008.
